Concerning black truffles, communities that inhabited the territory had quarry’s right for centuries . With so many distinctions or exceptions.
In any case already in 1400 truffles became precious: to sell them out of the territory a fee had to be paid. Truffle grounds were leased to the best bidder and the revenues were then reinvested in collective services.
Today fortunately, truffles are for the ones who want to enjoy them. Then book your table and come and taste the Gods’ food. There are those who, before 1400, still regret not having done so!
